Program Profile
Physiotherapy and rehabilitation that can be applied in many fields of medicine is a branch of science that applies scientific evidence-based assessment and physiotherapy-rehabilitation approaches to improve the functional status as much as possible after diseases and painful conditions.
A physiotherapist is a healthcare professional who works to enhance the quality of life of the individual to improve the function in musculoskeletal system disorders and with versatile physiotherapy approaches and trying to reduce the functional limits of individuals.
Education in our department is for four years. The training program includes basic sciences, clinical sciences, vocational courses, research methodology, seminars, and clinical studies. Students of our department graduate with the title of “Physiotherapist.” The diplomas of our graduates are also recognized by the Turkish Ministry of Health.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of our department have a wide range of job opportunities in public and private institutions. Our graduates can continue to study and do their science expertise and doctorate studies that will enable them to become associate professors and professors who work as lecturers in physiotherapy and rehabilitation departments, and in basic medical departments of medical faculties.
As a physiotherapist you can work in physical therapy, orthopedics, neurology, burn, cardiology, pediatrics, gynecology clinics of hospitals. You can also work in health institutions with rehabilitation centers.
