Program Profile
In the Medical Imaging Techniques program, students receive intensive training in basic medical sciences throughout their education. Students are required to learn about radiation, radiation protection, the structure, and use of medical imaging devices, besides using these devices.
Besides gaining the skills to use high-tech systems in radiology departments, our students receive training to develop high-quality imaging capabilities at the lowest radiation dose by ensuring radiation safety in these systems.
The program requires doing an internship in public and/or private hospitals with strict adherence to medical ethics and deontological rules. Graduation from this program requires to know the pharmacological structures, side effects, risk factors, types, and preparation of contrast agents. The ability to apply the rules of radiation safety and radiation protection as well as taking the necessary precautions to protect the patient from the harmful effects of radiation is a must. Graduates can perform radiology or nuclear medicine imaging devices in the health unit they work in, and the imaging procedures deemed necessary by the physician independently or with assistance when necessary.
Career Opportunities
