All international students are welcome to apply online to KTO Karatay University to start their higher education. You do not need to bring or send your application documents to the campus. KTO Karatay University receives all the application forms and required documents online (except for the enrollment). Please complete our easy to fill out the online application form.

Before you start to fill out the form, please read all the instructions and rules below and prepare the scanned copies of the required documents.

Who Can Apply ?

  1. International students.
  1. Applicants holding Turkish citizenship by birth and abandoned their Turkish citizenship as well as their children under 18 and listed in the renouncement document but documenting their certification for rights mentioned in the Turkish Citizenship Law # 5901/7.
  1. Applicants who have citizenship of other countries by birth; and have gained Turkish citizenship as well as those who already hold a dual-citizenship (It is obligatory for such students to indicate in the ''Explanations'' field of the Documented Population Registration Samples that they have acquired the Turkish citizenship later).
  1. Students who hold Turkish citizenship and completed the last 3 years of their high school education in another country except for The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus before 01.02.2013. (Including those who have completed their entire high school education in Turkish high schools in another country, except ones in The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, under the rule of the Turkish Ministry of National Education)
  1. Those who start their high school education after 01/02/2013 abroad, and completed the entire high school education abroad other than The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. (Including those who have completed their entire high school education in Turkish high schools in another country, except ones in The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, under the rule of the Turkish Ministry of National Education)
  1. Those who hold a TRNC citizenship of The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and residing in TRNC having completed the secondary education in a GCE AL system, as well as students who have registered and completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system abroad between 2005-2010.

Who Can Not Apply?

  1. Turkish nationals, and students who have completed their secondary education in Turkey or in The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
  2. Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus nationals (except for students who completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system in TRNC, as well as those who started and completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system abroad between 2005-2010).
  3. Dual citizens who hold the first nationality of Republic of Turkey by birth as defined in article 2 of 6/a/2 clause (Except for those who completed the entire secondary education in a foreign country other than TRNC),
  4. Students who hold dual citizenship, one of which is the citizenship of The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (except those who have completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system in TRNC, and those who have registered and completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system abroad between 2005-2010),
  5. Turkish citizens studying at foreign high schools in Turkey, or dual citizens holding the first nationality of the Republic of Turkey by birth defined in article 2 of 6/a/2 clause,
  6. Applicants who are dismissed from a higher education institution in Turkey as a result of a disciplinary punishment cannot apply to KTO Karatay University as an international student.
  7. Those who received high school diplomas after online education instead of formal training.   
  8. Those who have a high school diploma obtained from abroad even though they graduated from a high school in Turkey (even if they submit an equivalence document for the diploma obtained from abroad),
  9. Those who have inconsistency between the dates of their high school education abroad and the dates of entry and exit abroad in their passport
  10. Those who have started their high school education in Turkey but have a high school diploma obtained from abroad.

  • Meeting the required grades is a must eve if you do not want a scholarship. 
  • All international students seeking a scholarship are required to take the Scholarship Exam.

Required Documents to Apply for Online Scholarship Exam

 

  1. Copy of the high school diploma or certificate showing that the student is the last grade (English or Turkish official translation required)
  2. Copy of the high school transcript with the stamp and signature of the high school administration (English or Turkish official translation required)
  3. Passport copy
  4. Passport size photo
  5. Copy of international or national exam result for nationals of countries where students are required to take an obligatory exam after high school
  6. Bank receipt showing that the application fee has been paid. The application fee (500₺) can be paid to the Office of Financial Affairs of our university or transferred to the IBAN given below. (Name and surname must be written on the bank receipt)

Required Documents for Enrollment

Applicants who are entitled to enroll in the university must submit the following documents:

  1. The original copy of your high school diploma / English or Turkish copy, notarized or certified by the Turkish authorities.
  2. Certificate of equivalence for your high school diploma (from the Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Education – Turkish Education Board or Turkish authorities in your country).
  3. Criminal record. English or Turkish copy, notarized or certified by the Turkish authorities.
  4. An official transcript, approved by your high school administration, showing the courses and grades you took in high school. Turkish or English copy of the documents, certified by a notary or by Turkish authorities.
  5. Copies of the pages of your passport where your photograph and ID information are seen. (Your letter of acceptance will eb sent to you and the nearest Turkish Consulate and/or embassy after you finalize the registration procedures.
  6. Passport sized photograph.
  7. Receipt showing that the tuition fee has been paid to:
