Program Profile

This program encompasses all practical and theoretical subjects related to opticianry. It aims to train students as qualified health technicians who can prepare prescription eyeglass lenses, all types of lenses, optical vision devices, eyeglass frames, protective eyewear, and sunglasses in accordance with the numerical data written in prescriptions provided by eye disease specialist doctors, and adapt them to individuals in need of visual aids. Our main objectives include equipping students with knowledge of regulations related to the profession, basic knowledge of public health, environmental and social responsibilities, and ethical principles.

Career Opportunities

Opticianry students are aimed to graduate ready to establish authorized optical stores or work as responsible managers in the industry. Moreover, graduates from this program can find employment as "health technicians" in refraction hospitals, polyclinics, clinics, private medical practices, professional associations and chambers, optical stores, establishments engaged in lens and frame manufacturing, and contact lens production facilities.
