Program Profile
The program is a two-year associate degree program. It consists of 4 semesters. A total of 15 weeks of lessons are taught each semester. In addition, there are 25 working days internship period. There are theoretical and practical courses on the development and education of children between the ages of 0-18. In practical lessons, individual and group trainings are made for children with normal development and special needs. All these studies are carried out together with observations and applications made in the field. Applied courses are carried out in formal and private preschools, playrooms in hospitals, children's clinics, special education schools and special education and rehabilitation centers.
Career Opportunities
They can work in special education and rehabilitation centers, private preschools and kindergartens as administrators, teachers, and teacher assistants. They can also work as master instructors in preschools affiliated with the Ministry of Education and in kindergarten classes affiliated with primary schools. They can work in Child Health Centers, Residential Treatment Institutions, and Social Services Child Protection Institutions as caregiver mothers. In the Children's Publications and Toys sectors, they can work as designers. They can work at the Prime Ministry Family Research Institution, Disabled Administration Presidency, State Planning Organization, Social Services and Child Protection Agency in child care centers, Family Counseling Centers, and residential care facilities. They can work in the Ministry of Health's Child Health and Family Planning Centers and hospitals. They can work in children's hospitals and hospital schools, as well as in children's courts affiliated with the Ministry of Justice and educational institutions. They can be involved in the preparation and execution of children and youth programs and educational programs on radio and television. They can work in children's theaters and children's films. They can contribute to the preparation of publications such as books, magazines, and newspapers for children. They can also be involved in work related to child development.
