Program Profile
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics conducts scientific research activities and provides training to determine the nutritional status of the society and to determine and evaluate problems and priorities. Our department seeks, recommends, and applies solutions to improve the nutritional level of society, and raises specialists who are well equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to help and foster social wellbeing.
The curriculum of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics was formed by examining the programs of similar undergraduate departments, and best practice examples around the world.
International publications and qualifications of our academic staff represent the factors that differentiate our department. Studies that strengthen publications, on the one hand, enrich the teaching environment, on the other hand, highlight the scientific qualities of our department. In terms of the amount of academic staff per student, the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is above the average of many developed countries.
Career Opportunities
Nutrition and Dietetics is a relatively new field in the world, but graduates can work as inpatient dieticians and public health dieticians in health institutions. Our graduates can work in educational institutions as nutrition educators and teachers. They can also take part in research and industrial organizations.
There is an increasing tendency to benefit from the work of dieticians in schools, social service institutions, hospitals, public and industrial institutions. Especially hospitals and medical centers, food service institutions (hotels, cafeterias, restaurants), public health institutions (nursing homes, nursing homes, family health centers, nurseries, sports schools, etc.) are among the places our graduates can easily find a job.
