Profile of The Program
The Department of Traditional Turkish Arts pursues the goal of training renunciant artists who have embraced our traditional arts in their historical development, who are experts in education, training and research, specialized in their fields, who have a command of applications, who are willing to transfer what they know to the young people of the society. The aim is to raise dynamic, entrepreneurial, elegant people who do not compromise their art in all kinds of environments, produce solutions to problems, integrate their national identity with their values, are sensitive to history and artistic values, follow and use developing technology. It is aimed to train artists who can represent our country, our nation, culture and art in every environment, and thus contribute to the education staff of our country. Handicrafts reveals the creativity of the nation to which it belongs with its unique design, the material used, applied technique, shaping and stylistic features. Turkish plastic arts is also one of the areas where our nation's understanding of art is reflected.
Career Opportunities
By studying in this department, you will become an artist who has embraced our traditional arts in their historical development, who is an expert in education, training, research, and research, who has a command of applications, and who is willing to transfer what he knows to the youth of the society. With the education you will receive; you will have the ability to represent Turkish culture through art and you will be the carrier of Turkish historical values. After graduating from the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts, you can start working in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Foundations and provincial/district municipalities. You can also work as an artist in public or private museums and libraries. If you successfully pass the necessary exams, you can also be appointed as a teacher by the Ministry of National Education.
