Program Profile
The Child Development Department educates qualified specialists needed by children between the ages of 0-18 who are in the normal development process, disabled, in need of protection, working, and under risk. Specialists trained in our department are at a level to evaluate children's mental, language, motor, social, emotional development, and self-care skills and provide consultancy to families.

Child Development Department develops tools for the evaluation of children's development, provides consultancy, and carries out publication and research activities. The department aims to develop and run projects through contemporary approaches regarding children, families, educators, and society to implement and disseminate these projects in the best interest of children and families.
Career Opportunities
By studying in this department, you become a professional who can lead children and educators, renew and develop yourself, and communicate effectively. Also, you will gain the necessary skills of being scientific, objective, flexible, and sensitive to social facts.
After your graduation, you can hold titles such as administrator, teacher, or assistant teacher. You can work as a caregiver in institutions of protection. You can work in hospitals and Family Health Centers.
Making evaluations regarding the improvement of child development services provided in primary health care institutions can be your career. You can work to produce plans, programs, and opportunities for the training of children.
You can work at child and youth centers, community centers of social services and child protection agencies, and rehabilitation centers, Children's Houses of the General Directorate of Social Services and Child Protection Agency. You can work for UNICEF, ILO, and voluntary organizations (NGOs) as a project, coordinator, or consultant. You can also work as a family counselor with additional tradition taking the necessary training.
